Nature of Project: Swimming Pool

We have a deserving combat wounded veteran in this area that has applied but before we can move forward, we need your help. We need a project/construction lead in the area to coordinate with. If you or someone you know would be willing to step-up and help us complete our mission please contact us at!

On May 30, 2012, I was on patrol with 5-20 Infantry, 3rd Stryker Brigade Combat Team (SBCT), 2nd Infantry Division in Afghanistan clearing the route for another unit when I stepped on an improvised explosive device (IED). The subsequent blast resulted in the amputation of both legs and severe injuries to my right arm. I completed my recovery at Walter Reed Medical Center in Bethesda Maryland where I learned to walk in prosthetics and got a medal plate put into my arm to help me move it more normally again. It was a long road to recovery but I had the support of my now wife, family, and friends. I retired from the Army in December 2013. I now live in Three Churches/Romney West Virginia with my wonderful wife Autumn and our two German Sheppard pups Nova and Lucca. Having a pool in my own backyard will give me the strength I need to build so I can walk easier in my legs from day to day. It’s hard sometimes to walk around my house and I have to use my wheelchair regularly. Improving my muscles by swimming would help me and my wife.
